Description
During this 2 hour social emotional learning (SEL) Halloween themed workshop, students will read the book “Tease Monster” by Julia Cook. The difference between a mean tease and a friendly/playful tease will be taught. Since costumes and Trick or Treating are often part of Halloween traditions, participants will learn what behaviors are expected and unexpected in order to ensure safety and fun for all. Lastly, students will explore “spooky” emotions, and learn that ALL feelings are ok to have! Through the use of stories, video clips, and Halloween themed games and crafts, students will have FUN while learning valuable SEL skills. *Please note this is a drop off workshop only
