Early Intervention (EI) at PCD is for children under the age of three who have or are at risk for, developmental delay. We service children and families in Andover, North Andover, and Lawrence, Infants, and Toddlers develop and learn through meaningful everyday experiences and interactions in familiar places. EI services work best when families and caregivers participate in in-home visit activities. Early Intervention services are offered in homes, in early education programs, playgroups, or within the community. Services include screening and Evaluation, Therapeutic services in the areas of social work, nursing, developmental education, speech, occupational and physical therapy, Coordination of individualized services, Drop-off Integrated EI Toddler Playgroups, Parent/Baby Groups, Parent Support and Education for First Time Parents, Infant Massage Classes, Music Therapy, Specialized Feeding Group, Transition Planning and liaison work with SPED and private pre-schools, Training and education for child care providers and families, Individualized Family Service Plans, Referrals to additional specialty services, and Clinical Coordination with healthcare providers.
