Hi, readers I'm Cheryl, your Macaroni Kid Merrimack Valley Publisher. I just wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself to all of you and share a few things about me.
- I have been publishing with Macaroni Kid for a bit more than four years. I have worked on various Massachusetts sites but I am glad to be reporting from home, the Merrimack Valley Area, and the North Shore area. I love it!
- My mission with Macaroni Kid is to bring you local fun and to help connect your family to the Merrimack Valley community. When my youngest son was born in 2011, we didn't know where to take him for fun activities or where to find family-friendly events where we felt like we belonged.
- My kids were born 16 years apart... that's right, I have a 27-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son. My daughter just got married back in June. I think she wants to make me a grandmother soon.
- I barely know my way around the kitchen. My husband is the one who primarily feeds our family. I do not share in his love of the grocery store, so I say if he wants to do it, I say have at it!
- I am an educator who taught in the classroom for 19 years. I have continued to be involved in education by sitting on my town's school committee and being the vice president of our district PTA.
- I am happy to report that this past year I battled Breast Cancer and won! I am Cancer free and have been able to look at having Cancer as an unexpected gift. My experiences and relationships made through the Cancer journey couldn't have been better. I am grateful everyday.
- In addition to being the Macaroni Kid Lincoln publisher, I am highly involved with my son's school district and school.
- I'm a huge Disney fan. We are annual pass holders and make the trip south whenever we can! I have met so many wonderful people who are also Disney fanatics and have become lifelong friends!
I'm really looking forward to another year of sharing all the fun activities and events the Merrimack Valley has to offer with you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be your one-stop spot for family fun.
