Fun Family Activities All Take Place in Boston’s Historic Boston Common
The Boston Common Frog Pond has several upcoming activities that are perfect for the whole family. Below is the schedule:
Free Movie Night, Thursday, Sept. 1st - Bring your sweet tooth and channel your inner Oompa Loompa for the wonderful world of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory which is this year’s featured movie for the Boston Common’s free movie night on Thursday, September 1st. Movie begins at dusk (around 7:30 pm) so bring your lawn chair or blanket for a fun end-of-the-summer evening.
Frog Pond Spray Pool, Through Monday, Sept. 5th - One of the largest spray pools in the Boston area, the Frog Pond Spray Pool is open through Labor Day from 11:00 am-6:00 pm (weather permitting.) It’s a great place to cool off on a hot summer day with restrooms conveniently located onsite.
Free Weekly Outdoor Yoga, Through Thursday, Sept. 29th - Get your stretch on in the oldest park in the U.S. with free weekly yoga classes taught by Boston area yoga teachers. Hosted every Thursday from 6:00-7:00 pm, there is no need to pre-register, just bring your mat and join the fun. The weekly yoga sessions will take place until September 29th.
Boston Common Frog Pond Carousel, Through Monday, Oct. 10th- The old-fashioned carousel is a family favorite for both locals and visitors alike. Open from 10:00 am-6:00 pm every day of the week, the carousel will be open through mid-October. Tickets are $4 per ride or a 10-ride card for $30 and can be purchased onsite.
