I love this Valentine because both my 4 and 2 year-old had a great time making it. My 2 year-old was able to color and decorate, while my 4 year old could glue the antennas and eyes. And a fun twist for the kiddos, it comes with a pencil instead of candy, so it is a fun alternative to the traditional Valentine card.
Supplies:
- Cardstock
- Pom-poms
- Googly eyes (drawing them on will work too)
- Pencils
- Caterpillar template - Found a great one here.
- Glue
- Single hole punch
- Scissors
- Printer
How to make your Valentine:
- Print off the templates on cardstock, then cut out the caterpillars.
- Hole punch at the bottom of the face and again before and after each group of words.
- Decorate /sign the back.
- Glue pom-poms and eyes on.
- Thread in pencil with the eraser sticking out of the face for the nose.
Enjoy!
