Who remembers going to the drive- in as a kid? I remember my first experience, my brothers and I went in my dad's truck, he loaded it up with folding cushions and packed dinner in the cooler. We walked up to the concession stand, inhaling the sweet smells of popcorn and cotton candy. I think we ate entirely too much food that night! I was amazed that you could just change the radio station to sync up with the big screen. The drive- in is such a fun family experience, it is sad that most have faded away. However, in these current times with social distancing requirements, the idea of Drive- ins has made a come back. People all over Merrimack Valley are excited about this outdoor event and tickets are selling out like wildfire! Maybe, a few will stick around for the long haul after this... In the meantime here is a list of towns that are offering drive-in movies. Some of the Drive -ins are FREE and some require a fee. However, all require a reservation. Each location has a max occupancy and a max number of people in one car. Continue to check each location early because they are selling out very fast!
