Merrimack Valley is in for a spooktacular Halloween experience this year! Chris Farm Stand in Haverhill is collaborating with Fourth Omen Entertainment to bring a never seen before Haunted Farm.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Benjamin Selecky, Ravenwood’s co-creator of the attraction. Benjamin gave me a sneak peek behind the scenes of Ravenwood.
I asked Selecky why the creators chose Chris’s Farm Stand as the venue for this attraction and he said, “It's all about the people.” Chris’s Farm Stand is very much about the community. The farm has been in the Stasinos family since 1970, Chris and Marlene Stasinos work hard to maintain their family farm and to educate the community about food and where it comes from. Chris’s Farm Stand offers fresh produce, honey and several fall activities including their yearly pumpkin festival. This year they wanted to expand on the festivities in a whole new way! Selecky stated, “Creating an after dark spooky experience is a great opportunity to bring more families and fresh faces to the farm.”
According to Selecky, The haunted farm was created with inspirations from Disney, pop culture, and working with a world class team of production staff, set designers, artists and 70 actors. While Selecky stated the haunted experience will not be completely about blood and gore, they want people to escape everyday reality, to feel like they are transported into Ravenswood universe. It was important to the creators that visitors have an experience where they can, “have fun, laugh, scream, make memories and create traditions.”
When I asked Selecky what guests can expect he stated, “Sets will be unique and larger than life.” Guests might want to be on the lookout for a 12 foot venus fly trap and 6 foot pet possum with a gigantic head… although it sounds like they won't be hard to miss! Patrons will be taken on a haunted hayride through the corn fields and multiple set zones, amongst over 70 unique characters. Are you ready for the best Halloween thrill of your life?!

Every Friday, Saturday, plus Sunday, October 13 and Thursday, October 31 Dusk until 10:00pm
Tickets start at $27.99 and can be purchased at: feartheraven.com.
Tickets can also be purchased at the door for an additional $5.00
